Corsica: Explore Balagne by Bike calvi fr

Located in the northeast of Corsica, with its villages and beaches, Balagne - a little island within an island - offers a number of different bike paths for all skill levels from Calvi to l'Ile Rousse, the two major entry ports of Balagne.

Lovers of wide open spaces, biking beginners or experts, can see the major sites and landscapes between Corsica's mountains and its Mediterranean borders. The different paths allow for many stopovers in some of Corsica's most beautiful villages: Sant'Antonio, Pigna, Lumio, Monticello, Montemaggiore, Calenzanza, and more.

Many types of itineraries are possible, ranging from easy courses of 40 kilometers to more difficult ones nearing 100 kilometers, with a corresponding difference in altitude.

Whichever road you take, you're guaranteed to be fully immersed in the most authentic parts of Corsica: between Calvi and the Gulf of Galeria, a particularly wild setting along the coast; or the Col de Battaglia, the most difficult in Corsica, perfect for more athletic visitors.

The periods between May and June and September to October are best to explore Corsica by bike, thanks to those seasons' moderate temperatures and gentle breezes.

For non-cyclists in your group, a number of pedestrian walkways and fun cultural activities are also available. The Office of Tourism of Balagne is at your service to provide advice and assistance.
