Lille: 6 restaurants worth a visit

Lille: 6 restaurants worth a visit Lille fr

A brigade of young chefs has recently stirred the taste buds of the metropolis of northern France opening new addresses, accessible and up-to-date. Gourmet bistro, healthy canteen or trendy restaurant ... Our selection of good restaurants in Lille.

Coke: elegant brasserie

Brasserie Coke has established itself in the old headquarters of the mining company "Compagnie des Mines de Lens" in Lille. Here, the Galliaerde family, which already operates three other restaurants in Lille, renovated the 1000m2, so that you still feel the history of the building; parquet floors, stucco, chandeliers and a touch of modernity.

On the ground floor at the bar, a glimpse of the kitchen, and on the upper floor of the restaurant, which seats 60 guests, local dishes are served focusing on the best ingredients of the season.

30 rue Thiers, Lille

Le Vagabond: Organic and good

At his little reaturant, Nicolas Pourcheresse, who was nominated as the youngest star chef in Jura in 2005, serves "nomade food". Since the summer of 2016, the red-haired chef has taken care of the few lucky guests at his six tables in the old town of Lille.

The vegetables have only traveled a few kilometers from his garden to the plates - but the taste comes from all over the world. Booking and payment are made online (75 euros per person for four dishes) and then you leave the rest to the chef who takes care of everything.

112 rue Saint-André, Lille

SOlange: gourmet bistro

A slightly different restaurant worth a visit - especially because of Christophe Pirotais, a candidate for Top Chef 2015, who boasts energy. The small room with minimalist decor and seating for 30 guests looks spartan, but the portions are large and creative with locally produced ingredients.

A bistro kitchen of the best kind with reasonable prices.

59 rue d'Isly, Lille

Jane: shared bar-restaurant

A stone's throw from the Grand'Place, L'Arbre Voyageur has planted its 4-star hotel concept in the former Polish consulate, which has been renovated with a spectacular glass façade. In addition to a deli and a flower shop, this new address in Lille hosts two restaurants including the Jane with a original decor mixing retro and African touches.

Between amazing cocktails served under a bell, flambéed pasta with vodka or thyme-flavored ice cream by chef Jean-Christophe Gille, we are full of original flavors!

45 boulevard Carnot, Lille

Empreinte: neo-gastronomic kitchen

A large rustic table, where the bread is divided, in the center of the room and stained glass windows with a soft yellow light set the tone. A warm atmosphere where wood, leather and metal install a raw elegance, a natural simplicity that go to the basics, like the kitchen of Ismael War-Genton. By opening L'Empreinte with his partner Inès in 2016, the thirty-year-old chef bet on emotion and letting go.

At this restaurant, seasonal products and vegetables are allowed to decide the compositions: choose 3, 5 or 7 dishes on a secret menu and be surprised.

170, avenue de l'Hippodrome, Lambersart

Sébastopol: trendy loft

A classic dark facade and inside a large room with loft atmosphere, bright with high windows, light wood ... In the kitchen of the newly reopened Sébastopol, the team gathered around Damien Laforce tackles the terroir without complex, reinventing even the classics including traditional moules frites.
