24 Hours Cycling Race in Le Mans
4th edition of this sporting event on the legendary circuit of Le Mans!
The 4th edition of this event will be held on the circuit Bugatti at Le Mans. It will be a cycling relay race that is accessible to all teams of 2, 4, 6 or 8 people, but can also be done solo.
2000 participants are expected for this year’s event, and will consist of French, English, Italian and Brazilian contestants because the event holds a good international reputation.
The 100% female category that was created in 2011 proved to be very successful and will therefore take place again in 2012 with around 60 expected participants.
Many reputable individuals will also be attending the event, such as Eric Leblacher (winner in 2011) who will try, with the help of his teammate, to beat his record of 958.36 km that was achieved at an average of 39.70 km/h. Challenging him, Stéphane Sarrazin (winner of 2nd place in 2009), Laurent Brochart (world champion in 1997), Gilles Maignan (two-time Champion of France Against the Clock in 1998), and also Samuel Plouhinec (Champion of France 2009) who will all be fighting to secure the victory in 2012.
Candidates have only until 25 July to register on the event’s official site and discover the unique environment of the circuit of Le Mans and the special atmosphere of this event.
